Interim Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)
We are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based technology organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Management Accountant on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
Working in a hybrid environment, this opportunity is ideal for a qualified Management Accountant who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, commercially focused business.The Role: Reporting directly into the CFO, this role will cover all aspects of Management Accounting and will sit within a collaborative finance function encompassing Accounting, Transactional Finance, Legal and Compliance.
- Preparation of Group Management Accounts, including detailed commercial analysis
- Preparation of draft monthly Board reporting
- Calculation and posting of key supplier accruals, deferred income and prepayments
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Production of VAT returns and corporation tax analysis
- Cashflow forecasting
- Supporting the CFO with the adoption of AI tools
- Acting as a key stakeholder in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors
- General finance duties, including supporting wider Group finance activities and ad-hoc transactional support
- Pro-active and motivated individual with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to plan, prioritise and perform effectively under pressure
- Confident working within a team-based environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- AI skills desirable
- Up to £60,000, dependent on experience
- Performance-related commission
