Senior Project Accountant

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing UK-based organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join the team on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract.

Based in Chester, you will work a hybrid model with just 1 day per week in the office. Fully remote candidates will also be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced qualified accountant with a strong project and transformation background, particularly around ERP systems and legal entity restructuring.

Salary/Benefits:

  • Circa £80,000

Job Duties:

  • Support the post-implementation optimisation and embedding of NetSuite across the business.
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls and system utilisation.
  • Lead and support a project to hive up multiple legal entities, driving reporting efficiencies and simplification across the group structure.
  • Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal and external advisors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the accurate migration, alignment and reporting of financial information across entities.
  • Support the development of enhanced management reporting and business insights.
  • Assist senior finance leadership with project reporting, analysis and key decision-making.
  • Drive best practice across financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
  • Manage stakeholders across the business to ensure successful project delivery.

Ideal Experience

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant.
  • Previous experience of Netsuite is absolutely essential
  • Proven experience in project accounting, finance transformation or change environments.
  • Experience supporting legal entity restructuring, hive-up projects or group simplification initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and deliver to tight project deadlines.
  • Experience working with external advisers and cross-functional project teams.
