Location: Borehamwood (Office-based)

Salary: £32k to £35k

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced and highly organised Operations Coordinator to join a growing healthcare organisation based in Borehamwood.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a GP practice environment who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations. Working closely with senior management, you'll play a key role in supporting a team of healthcare operators, maintaining high service standards for GP practices and patients, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of the healthcare operations team.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, annual leave, sickness and operational cover.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new employees.
  • Provide ongoing support, coaching and guidance to team members.
  • Monitor performance, attendance and call quality, identifying training and development needs.
  • Maintain training documentation, standard operating procedures and operational processes.
  • Investigate operational issues and feedback, working with management to implement solutions.
  • Provide support with EMIS and other healthcare systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and service delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Experience working within a GP practice or primary care environment.
  • Working knowledge of EMIS.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience creating staff rotas and managing workforce planning.
  • Good understanding of GP practice workflows and operations.
