Finance Systems Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious organisation seeking a commercially minded Finance Systems & Financial Controls Manager to lead the finance work stream of a major SAP implementation while strengthening financial controls across the business. The company will offer hybrid working.

This is a highly visible role that combines finance transformation with hands-on financial control. Working closely with the Finance Director, operational teams, and external implementation partners, you will ensure the successful delivery of the SAP project while enhancing financial processes, reporting, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Implementation

• Act as the finance lead throughout the SAP implementation project.
• Work closely with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure a successful system rollout.
• Map and redesign finance processes to maximise efficiency within SAP.
• Support data migration, validation and reconciliation activities.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve finance-related system issues.
• Develop new finance procedures and ensure best practice is embedded.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to finance users across the business.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting capabilities.

Financial Control

• Support the production of accurate monthly management accounts.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, providing meaningful variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.

About You

We are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a passion for systems, process improvement and change management.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous involvement in an SAP implementation, upgrade or finance systems transformation project.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, financial controls and reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and finance processes.
