The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Technology Assurance Director to join a growing national chartered accountants in their Glasgow office.

The Role

You will work at the forefront of technology risk, providing strategic direction, delivering high-quality assurance services, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across a diverse client base.

This is a senior leadership role and you will play a pivotal part in shaping and expanding the Technology Assurance offering, leading complex client engagements, and developing high-performing teams.

Main responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide leadership and oversight of Technology Assurance engagements across the UK
  • Support the strategic direction and growth of the Technology Assurance service line
  • Lead the delivery of IT Internal Audit, IT External Audit and broader technology assurance services
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical, delivery and commercial matters

Client Leadership & Business Development

  • Build and maintain senior client relationships
  • Contribute to business development, proposals and go-to-market initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to expand technology risk and advisory services
  • Provide strategic insight to strengthen clients’ technology governance and control environments

People & Culture

  • Lead, mentor and develop Managers, Senior Managers and emerging leaders
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Support talent development, retention and succession planning
  • Contribute to recruitment, performance management and capability building

Ideal candidate:

  • Extensive experience in technology assurance, IT audit or related advisory services
  • Proven leadership experience within a professional services or consulting environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting business growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements and manage senior client relationships
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development and delivery excellence
