Associate Solicitor - TMT
We are working with a market-leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Technology & Media team within their Belfast office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a nationally recognised TMT practice, supporting a diverse range of high-profile clients on a range of data privacy, cyber, and digital regulation matters. The candidate will advise clients on data protection and privacy compliance (including UK GDPR, EU GDPR, international data transfers, and privacy notices), as well as helping them proactively manage regulatory and commercial risks. The candidate will advise on matters relating to regulatory investigations, technology disputes and emerging legal issues, including AI and online safety regulation.
The candidate will play a key role in clients across high-level data privacy matters, supporting organisations before, during and after critical incidents. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria
- 1-4 PQE;
- Strong background in data protection & privacy matters, cyber incidents, and/or technology disputes;
- Excellent commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Negotiation skills;
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
