Process Control Systems Engineer

Acorn by Synergie is proud to be working with this Iconic Brand through growth at their Shotton site, we are currently seeking a talented Process Control (OT) Systems Engineer.

Reporting to the Computer Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our Operational Technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and driving continuous improvement.



Key Responsibilities:
* Prioritise safety above all else, fostering a secure working environment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Oversee the management of infrastructure and data flow across all system levels, minimising production downtime due to critical interface failures.
* Lead and manage specialist IT and process control system maintenance contractors, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety protocols.
* Maintain and develop process control computer systems and associated software for real-time product tracking and material processing data.
* Ensure compliance of all OT assets with Company Cybersecurity policy, in alignment with HSE OG86 standards.

What you will need:


We're seeking a Process Control (OT) Systems Engineer who holds a degree in a computer-related discipline and is CCNA certified, boasting expertise in switching, routing, wireless, and security. Beyond academic achievements, you'll possess a solid understanding of VMware and the Windows Server operating system. Your experience in applying cybersecurity measures to industrial automation and control systems, aligning with HSE OG86 standards, will be invaluable.

Familiarity with SAP business/manufacturing management software systems, WinCC, IFix SCADA, and ideally, Visual Basic, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are a must, as you'll engage in influencing behaviours and effectively managing contractors across various disciplines. Your ability to thrive under pressure, swiftly resolving faults to minimise production halts, is crucial. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with our company's cybersecurity policies, ensuring the integrity and security of our operational technology assets
