IT Project Support Administrator

The IT Department is undergoing rapid digital transformation to standardise systems and improve operational efficiency across the organisation. We are seeking an organised and proactive IT Project Support Administrator to support day-to-day administrative activities across the IT function, maintain accurate documentation, perform detailed requirements analysis, coordinate communications, and provide administrative support for ongoing IT initiatives and system improvements.
What you'll be working:
37.5 hours per week
The role is remote with travel to sites expected
What you'll be doing:
- Work closely with the business to gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
- Provide project administrative support to the IT team and wider business
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes where required
- Assist with scheduling IT activities, site visits, and user communications
- Ensure documentation is version controlled and stored appropriately
- Support IT projects with general administration and coordination tasks
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers professionally and efficiently
- Assist in creating and maintaining requirement specifications, use cases, wireframes and process flow diagrams
- Support the coordination of requirements workshops and feedback sessions

- Good attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience working within an IT environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- A proactive and team-oriented approach to work
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, turning complex concepts into simple language

Person Specification
Experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Previous administration support experience within an IT environment
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Awareness of IT systems and processes would be advantageous
- A quality orientated attitude with eye for detail
- Ability to proactively find solutions to problems
- Confidence to raise issues and ask questions
