🚀 Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) – Hedge Fund Opportunity

Actus Search are currently supporting a global hedge fund in hiring a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to join a high-performing global systems team.

This role sits at the heart of a high-performance trading and research environment, focused on delivering scalable, resilient database infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.

🔧 What you’ll be doing

• Designing, deploying, and supporting cross-platform database solutions (PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, MSSQL)
• Ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across critical systems
• Implementing and maintaining:
• Backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Database optimization (indexes, triggers, stored procedures)
• Collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and investment teams
• Owning projects end-to-end — from design through to production deployment

📍 Working model

• 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

💡 Ideal background

• 5+ years’ experience in database administration (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Strong knowledge of high availability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery
• Experience with Linux systems and scripting (Python, Ruby, or Perl)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, and observability tools is a plus
• A systematic, problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills
