What You'll Do

• Lead Technical Innovation: Own the technology strategy and roadmap for a data platform, ensuring it delivers measurable business value.
• Build and Scale: Engage in hands-on development to create and optimize data systems, from data modeling to user interfaces.
• Empower a Team: Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Collaborate for Impact: Work directly with investment professionals and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that enhance our investment process.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Leverage the latest advancements in AI and data science to solve real-world problems in venture capital.

What We're Looking For

• Technical Excellence: Deep expertise in Python, React, and modern data technologies (e.g., BigQuery/GCP, dbt, Prefect, OpenAI, LookML/Looker, Glean).
• Proven Track Record: A history of building complex data products that drive business value, ideally in financial services, investment, or high-growth tech sectors.
• Leadership and Vision: Experience leading engineering teams, with the ability to inspire and guide others while contributing individually.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of business needs and the ability to translate technical solutions into commercial impact.
