Business Analyst – Digital Assessment Transformation (Contract)

This global NGO is undertaking a pivotal project to redefine how it delivers online assessments. The goal: select the right future platform, reduce vendor risk, and protect learner outcomes. As a Business Analyst, you’ll sit at the centre of this transformation — turning complex requirements into clear, evidence-based recommendations.

Role Overview

Location: Hybrid (London, occasional travel)

Package: Competitive day rate (outside IR35)

Industry: Digital Learning / EdTech

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Engage with educators, examiners, and operations teams to capture functional and technical requirements.
  • Map the full assessment lifecycle — from learner registration to results and reporting.
  • Define accessibility, compliance, safeguarding, and integrity needs across digital assessment journeys.
  • Support a structured market scan of EdTech vendors, analysing features, delivery models, and scalability.
  • Contribute to cost/benefit analysis, vendor scoring, and recommendations.
  • Validate vendor claims against operational realities and help shape executive decision-making materials.

Main Skills Needed

  • Experience in EdTech, digital learning, or online assessment environments.
  • Strong background in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Exposure to RFPs, vendor evaluation, or technology selection projects.
  • Knowledge of accessibility, exam operations, and safeguarding principles.
  • Comfortable working across education, technology, and procurement teams.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
