Role Overview:

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing, developing and testing control system and SCADA solutions for highly regulated environments
  • Working on human-computer interface and platform management systems used in operational naval settings
  • Translating customer and stakeholder requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Developing and validating software on RedHat Linux-based systems
  • Producing clear technical documentation in line with regulatory and internal standards
  • Supporting systems throughout their operational lifecycle, including in-service capability
  • Collaborating with project teams and contributing to technical reviews and briefings

Main Skills Needed:

  • Experience developing software within SCADA environments using languages such as C#, C++ or VB
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of RedHat Linux
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and regulated engineering processes
  • Background in defence, maritime, aerospace, or another safety-critical industrial sector
  • Qualification (degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) in Software, Systems, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Ability to gain and maintain UK SC security clearance
  • Nice to have: Experience with Siemens WinCC Open Architecture (OA)
