Cyber Security Architect

Join a forward-thinking technology environment where cyber security is central to building secure, scalable and resilient solutions. This is a technical leadership role with real influence across projects, architecture and wider technology strategy.

  • Package: £66,240 – £86,940 p/a + benefits
  • Industry: Technology / Cyber Security

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the architecture of complex cyber security solutions across multiple projects and technical areas.
  • Shape early-stage concepts, helping teams turn business needs into practical, secure technology solutions.
  • Act as a design authority, providing governance and assurance across architecture, security standards and technical decisions.
  • Work closely with enterprise and solution architects, business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure solutions are joined up and scalable.
  • Define and maintain architecture patterns, standards, models and supporting documentation across the cyber security domain.
  • Guide technology selection, balancing security, functionality, cost and long-term sustainability.
  • Oversee integration with existing platforms and systems, ensuring solutions contribute to a coherent wider technology landscape.
  • Support strategic planning by bringing cyber security architecture into business cases, requirements and key initiatives.
  • Mentor architects and technical leads, helping strengthen architectural capability and best practice across delivery teams.
  • Keep sight of emerging technologies and assess where they could add value to the organisation.

Main Skills Needed:

  • Extensive experience in Cyber Security architecture across complex, multi-system environments.
  • Strong solution architecture experience, with the ability to lead design across multiple programmes or initiatives.
  • Proven experience defining and managing technical requirements and navigating competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, cloud platforms and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Experience leading architectural governance and influencing technical direction at programme level.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work across technical and business audiences.
  • Experience developing architecture models, standards, roadmaps and design practices.
  • Ability to mentor technical teams and embed secure architecture principles into delivery.
  • Relevant cyber security or architecture certifications would be beneficial, including CISSP, TOGAF or BCS Enterprise/Solutions Architecture qualifications.

What’s in It for You:

  • A senior technical role with genuine influence over cyber security and technology direction.
  • The chance to shape architecture across complex, high-profile initiatives rather than working within a single project.
  • Hybrid working across Derby, Manchester or Warrington.
  • The opportunity to develop architectural capability across wider delivery teams and make a lasting impact on how cyber security is delivered.
