Join a forward-thinking organisation delivering large-scale technology transformation across a highly regulated environment. As a Cloud Security Architect, you'll play a key role in ensuring cloud-native solutions are designed securely from day one, helping protect critical services and data.

Role Overview

Location: Hybrid/Warrington (2 days per week)

Package: £70,000pa- £90,000pa & benefits

Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (scope for extension or to become permanent)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design secure cloud architectures across Azure, AWS and/or GCP environments.
  • Conduct threat modelling and security risk assessments for cloud-based solutions.
  • Produce high and low-level security designs aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Embed security throughout the project lifecycle, working alongside Solution Architects and delivery teams.
  • Review cloud solutions against security standards, policies and best practice.
  • Support security governance activities and provide remediation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure-by-design principles.
  • Advise stakeholders on cloud security risks, compliance and technical controls.

Main Skills Needed

  • Strong experience designing secure cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud security services.
  • Experience with threat modelling methodologies (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK etc.).
  • Understanding of IAM, encryption, networking and cloud-native security controls.
  • Knowledge of CIS, NIST, ISO27001 and security architecture frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • CISSP, CCSP or equivalent certifications desirable.
