What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, build and enhance secure, scalable data fabric capabilities that enable seamless data sharing, governance and consumption.
- Develop event-driven architectures that support automation, analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
- Create and maintain data integration frameworks, reusable components and configurable workflows that improve consistency and operational efficiency.
- Deliver robust streaming and batch data processing solutions using modern distributed technologies.
- Build workflow automation capabilities that support repeatable, governed analyst and operational processes.
- Engineer solutions for challenging edge environments, including deployments with limited or intermittent connectivity.
- Implement metadata management, data lineage and catalogue capabilities to improve visibility and governance.
- Establish secure access controls, governance frameworks and policy-driven security across data platforms.
- Drive platform reliability through monitoring, deployment automation, performance optimisation and operational best practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, resilient and future-ready data solutions.
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong background in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering or Distributed Systems environments.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade data platforms and large-scale data solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with data integration, event streaming technologies and workflow orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Apache Flink, Apache Spark or similar large-scale data processing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, schema management, data contracts and governance principles.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable and observable systems.
- Strong appreciation of security best practices, including auditability, access control and least-privilege principles.
- Ability to build configurable, reusable integration patterns and automation capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a collaborative and delivery-focused mindset.
- Willingness and eligibility to undergo DV Security Clearance.
