This is a senior-level infrastructure role within a global professional services organisation where technology underpins everything they do. You’ll play a critical role in keeping complex systems stable, secure and evolving, while helping shape how infrastructure supports the wider business.
Role Overview:
- Location: Remote, candidates must be based in the UK
- Package: £60,000- £70,000pa & Benefits

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Acting as the senior escalation point for complex 3rd line infrastructure incidents and problems
- Owning the stability, performance and security of core infrastructure platforms
- Designing, building and improving systems across servers, storage, networking, cloud and end-user services
- Leading root cause analysis and delivering long-term, preventative fixes
- Proactively monitoring environments using a range of security and performance tools
- Planning capacity, resilience and scalability across the infrastructure estate
- Delivering patching, upgrades and maintenance — including planned out-of-hours work
- Supporting and leading infrastructure projects, migrations and upgrades
- Driving continuous improvement around automation, resilience and operational efficiency
- Bridging engineering and service delivery teams to ensure smooth operations
- Producing clear documentation, reports and operational runbooks
- Ensuring infrastructure aligns with security, compliance and service standards (ISO27001 / ITIL)
- Supporting SLA performance, risk management and service reporting
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong senior-level infrastructure engineering experience in complex environments
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration and configuration.
- Experience implementing Azure is highly preferred.
- Experience using ITSM Solutions such as Manage Engine ServiceDesk or equivalent.
- Solid Active Directory expertise (hybrid environments, GPOs, replication, identity management)
- Experience with networking (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN) and storage (SAN/NAS)
- Proven background in monitoring, security and vulnerability tooling such as PRTG, Rapid7, Automox or Darktrace.
- ITSM experience and comfort working within structured service frameworks
- Citrix DaaS or similar virtual desktop technologies
- Backup, disaster recovery and resilience planning expertise
- Experience working on a technology modernisation project would be advantageous.
- Experience in regulated or financial services environments (highly desirable)
