Senior Network Engineer (Security Cleared)

Role Overview:

• Location: Farnborough

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, implement and support enterprise network infrastructure across LAN and WAN environments
• Configure and manage routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
• Build and maintain secure network solutions, including VPNs and firewall configurations
• Translate high-level designs into detailed configurations and deployment plans
• Support and optimise network performance across production environments
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple layers and technologies
• Contribute to lab environments, testing and proof-of-concept work for new technologies
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable and resilient solutions
• Support continuous improvement of network architecture and operational processes

Main Skills Needed:

• Strong experience in network engineering across both LAN and WAN environments
• Solid understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network architecture
• Experience with VPN technologies and network security infrastructure (e.g. firewalls)
• Ability to work from both high-level and low-level technical designs
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
• Familiarity with data centre networking concepts (e.g. spine/leaf, EVPN) is beneficial
• Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform is advantageous
• Experience with virtualised networking or NSX is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative teams
