What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, building and maintaining scalable, resilient platforms and core services
  • Driving automation across infrastructure, deployment and operational processes
  • Taking new technologies from proof-of-concept through to production rollout
  • Collaborating with engineering, DevOps and operations teams to optimise performance and reliability
  • Implementing monitoring, alerting and system management best practices
  • Supporting platform architecture and contributing to design decisions for new services
  • Conducting security assessments, hardening systems and embedding secure-by-design principles
  • Troubleshooting and resolving performance or system issues across complex environments
  • Creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation
  • Mentoring team members and promoting strong DevOps ways of working

Main Skills Needed:

  • Strong Linux administration (e.g. Ubuntu) and solid Windows infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar)
  • Hands-on expertise with DevOps and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, Git)
  • Cloud experience, ideally Azure or similar environments
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance optimisation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset
  • Awareness of security best practices and system hardening
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
