Technical Project Manager - Live Events & AV Production

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager to join a leading live events and production organisation delivering high-end technical solutions for major brands and venues.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will manage technical projects from initial client brief through to onsite delivery, overseeing teams, technical planning, budgets, and event execution.

This role offers hybrid working after six months (two days remote, three days office-based), with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of technical projects, from understanding client requirements through to successful delivery.
  • Reviewing project briefs, identifying technical requirements, and providing practical solutions.
  • Working closely with internal teams to develop proposals, technical plans, and project responses.
  • Building strong relationships with clients through effective communication and understanding their objectives.
  • Producing accurate quotations, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Managing project budgets, logistics, and resources to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Leading and coordinating technical teams across multiple projects.
  • Overseeing onsite delivery, ensuring lighting, audio, and video systems are implemented effectively.
  • Supporting health and safety requirements through appropriate technical documentation and planning.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Production Manager, Event Technical Manager, Live Events Project Manager, Production Manager, Event Production Manager, AV Project Manager, Audio Visual Project Manager, Technical Events Manager, Live Production Manager, Show Production Manager, Event Technology Manager, Technical Director, Technical Exhibition Manager or in a similar role
  • Have experience working within a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar technical delivery role.
  • Strong knowledge of live event technology, with specialist expertise in at least one core discipline such as lighting, audio, or video.
  • A broad understanding of other technical areas within live events.
  • Experience with system design, technical planning, and project implementation.
  • Ability to produce technical drawings, specifications, and relevant documentation.
  • Experience managing budgets, preparing quotations, and supporting commercial project decisions.
  • Competent using AutoCAD and rental management software.
