Working Pattern: 3 days a week on-site,travel across East & West Midlands will be required
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, shift patterns and will require on call work (inc. Bank Holidays).

About the Role:
As a 3rd Line Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting, maintaining, and developing the IT network infrastructure that enables our client to deliver high-quality care across the East Midlands. You will collaborate with a professional team to ensure maximum network availability, supporting 24/7 operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site IT services across a 7-day working pattern, including bank holidays.
- Deliver timely and proactive resolutions to technical issues.
- Support deployment and configuration of layer 2 and 3 network elements (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPNs).
- Perform in-life operational activities, including hardware/software upgrades and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve 3rd line support escalations, ensuring SLAs are met.
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in network engineering.
- Networking qualifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent).
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proven experience with network security principles, LAN/WAN planning, and configuration of networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
- Willing and able to pass knowledge on and mentor other team members.
- Able to travel between sites in order to provide IT services, specifically ability to drive.
- A willingness to identify opportunities for service improvements and cost reductions.
- Able to overcome obstacles and constraints.
- Customer oriented, confident, reliable and approachable
- Able to carry and lift basic PC equipment for installations.
- Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, LAN, VLAN, DHCP, and DNS.
- Understanding of copper and fibre networking.
- Experience of planning and installing LAN/WAN networks.
- Experience configuring Juniper, Aruba devices and Cisco Firewalls.
- Good knowledge of: IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols (internal and external), LAN, VLAN, EVPN, MPLS, VPLS, VXLAN, DHCP and DNS.
- Proven experience with L2 and L3 network tools, monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques on IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
