Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 6 Months

About Us:
Our client, a leading organisation in the Financial Services sector, is seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Business Analyst. This role is pivotal in supporting the design and implementation of tactical solutions on existing technology platforms while leading the requirements gathering for future state solutions across the EMEA Compliance landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Engage with Compliance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Legal, Risk, and other stakeholders to elicit and validate business requirements. Produce a comprehensive Business Requirements Document (BRD) defining current and future state requirements for the obligations register.
  • Traceability & Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure alignment between business requirements, design, development, testing, and final delivery. Review deliverables to ensure they meet business needs.
  • Process Mapping: Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end business processes, including workflows and governance, integrating them into Business as Usual (BAU) operations.
  • Testing Support: Collaborate with QA and project teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve any defects or clarifications as needed.
  • Training & Change Readiness: Assist in creating training materials and user guides. Facilitate training sessions to prepare users for go-live.
  • Handover to BAU: Define and document the handover approach, ensuring the business is equipped to maintain and evolve the obligations register post-implementation.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Experience: Business Analysis experience in financial services, particularly within Compliance, Risk, or Regulatory Change.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory obligations management and compliance operations, with familiarity in UK and EMEA financial services regulations.
  • Documentation Proficiency: Proven experience documenting business requirements for third-party or consultancy-delivered solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process mapping, workflow design, and documentation tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
  • Professional Qualifications: BCS, CBAP, or Lean Six Sigma qualifications are a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and creatively solve challenges in a dynamic environment.

Note: This role requires a strong commitment to managing stakeholders and motivating individuals within a traditional organisation to embrace change. Your tenacity and problem-solving abilities will be critical to your success.
