Hybrid working - 3 days in either London, Manchester, Birmingham or Bristol


Are you passionate about cyber security and ready to make a significant impact? Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Policy and Standards Specialist to join their team on a 3 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of security policies and standards within a dynamic environment.

What You'll Be Doing:


Support the creation, maintenance, and improvement of security policies and standards, ensuring they align with business risks.
Collaborate with Risk, Governance, and Assurance teams to define metrics for measuring compliance and provide regular compliance reports.
Track the effectiveness of content delivery through KPIs and metrics, driving continuous improvement.
utilise data to inform decisions, ensuring metrics are clear and focused on compliance and assurance.
Develop and maintain educational materials to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
Foster a collaborative culture within the Secure in Operation function, championing a security-conscious mindset.
Execute day-to-day administrative duties that support risk management and compliance programmes.

Skills Required:


3-5 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related technical role with demonstrable security responsibilities.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into understandable language.
A thorough, detail-oriented approach to work, particularly on routine but critical tasks.
Basic understanding of cyber security principles and security risks.
Proficiency in computer applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Compliance, or a related field.
Genuine passion for cyber security with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Hands-on experience in supporting compliance assessments and security risk management activities.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly preferred.
