Business Data Analyst

Contract Contract End Date: June 30, 2026 Daily Rate: £300 - £350 (inside IR35 via umbrella) Location: BELFAST (3 days on site, non negotiable) Hybrid Working Environment.

Are you an experienced Business Data Analyst looking for your next challenge? Join our client's Markets Transformation Team, where you will play a pivotal role in executing technical data-centric deliverables that drive business success.

About the RoleAs a Business Data Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, solution design, and project management to lead critical technical projects. Your primary focus will be on delivering Front Office Critical Data Elements into a central Data Lake, ensuring that all requirements are met, and projects are delivered on time.

Primary Responsibilities:Lead technical projects to implement Front Office Critical Data Elements into a centralised Data Lake.Employ independent critical thinking and data analysis to deconstruct complex problems, collaborating with Data Leads and Front Office IT teams to develop strategic solutions and delivery plans.Maintain a hands-on approach to project delivery, working closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, implemented, and delivered on schedule.Facilitate working groups and workshops with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project plans, and manage timelines.Manage internal and external dependencies, actively coordinating with Business, Transformation, and Technology teams.Identify challenges and proactively address or escalate risks and issues in a timely manner, engaging relevant stakeholders and project managers.Engage senior stakeholders continuously by resolving issues as they arise and keeping them informed of project updates.Produce insightful project update materials tailored for various forums and committees.Build strong relationships across teams to support the successful execution of programmes.

Key Skills Required:Extensive experience working with large datasets and relational databases, utilising SQL and object-oriented programming languages for data analysis and manipulation.Strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, capable of coordinating end-to-end delivery across teams.Demonstrated experience in managing and tracking technical deliveries, with the ability to identify and escalate potential risks and issues.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade senior stakeholders through discussions and presentations.Self-starter with a knack for multitasking, prioritising, and proactively seeking collaboration to resolve issues.Highly organised and detail-oriented, adept at tracking multiple projects simultaneously.Minimum of 5 years relevant technical delivery experience.

Preferred Skills:Strong understanding of the Trade Lifecycle and various functions within Capital Markets.Experience working on cross-asset or Front Office builds, or direct collaboration with Business units, such as Product Control or Middle Office.Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more product areas, particularly derivatives or SFTs.
