Location: UK (Fully Remote)
Salary: £60,000 - £100,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
Type: Full-time
We're looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain the infrastructure behind a suite of innovative data-driven products. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with modern cloud-native technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing systems.
You'll be instrumental in shaping deployment pipelines, improving system reliability, and supporting both internal engineering teams and external users. Collaboration, problem-solving, and a proactive mindset are key to success in this role.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure at scale.
* Strong knowledge of container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code.
* Solid understanding of cloud networking and architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Experience with CI/CD systems and automated deployment workflows.
* Familiarity with observability and performance monitoring tools.
* Experience with data pipelines and workflow orchestration.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Alignment with SRE principles and a passion for automation and reliability.
* Security-first approach to infrastructure and operations.
* Ideally degree-educated in a STEM discipline or a closely related field.
* This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment, where adaptability and initiative are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
* Architect and manage cloud infrastructure to support scalable and secure application deployments.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and release processes.
* Monitor and optimize system performance using modern observability tools.
* Support and enhance data processing workflows using event-driven orchestration.
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to ensure system stability.
* Document infrastructure and promote best practices across teams.
* Embed security and compliance into infrastructure design and operations.
Beneficial
* Experience with cloud security practices (IAM, container hardening, etc.).
* Familiarity with tools like Trivy, Semgrep, Checkov, or OWASP ZAP.
* Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR.
