Engineering Configuration Manager - Major Aerospace client!

Location: Pitstone, Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: 6 Months+
Day Rate: £450-£550 Per Day Umbrella (open to discussions for exceptional candidates)
Security Clearance: Must hold or eligible for SC Security Clearance

Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Aerospace sector, is seeking an experienced Engineering Configuration Manager to join their team in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that are at the forefront of technology and national security.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Engineering Configuration Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing configuration management plans and processes.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practises.
• Coordinating configuration management activities across various engineering teams.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
• Conducting audits and reviews to verify configuration status and integrity.
• Collaborating with project managers to support scheduling and resource allocation.
• Providing training and guidance on configuration management tools and procedures.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A strong background in configuration management within the Defence, Aerospace, Engineering, Automotive or Manufacturing industry.
• Experience controlling product data, engineering changes, configuration baselines, BOMs, documentation, software and hardware records throughout the product lifecycle
• PLM systems and Product Data Management experience
• Excellent understanding of engineering processes and project life cycles.
• Proficiency in configuration management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
• A relevant degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
