Environmental Data Analyst
Environmental Data Analyst Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)Contract Type: 6 months (with potential for extension)Rate (PAYE): £175 per day
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Data Analyst to join our high-profile energy client's Environment Team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is critical in supporting regulatory reporting and environmental performance tracking-with a strong focus on data cleansing and integrity.
About the Role: Reporting to the Environment Manager, you will be responsible for managing, analysing, and cleansing large sets of environmental and sustainability data. A key focus will be the identification and removal of legacy or redundant assets within the system-ensuring the data is clean, current, and fit for purpose.
This role will be 3 days per week in the Bristol office to allow for close collaboration, system shadowing, and support from technical experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleanse and manage environmental datasets, removing obsolete assets and correcting inconsistencies
- Support monthly and annual environmental reporting (e.g. KPIs, Environment Agency)
- Assist in compiling data for Business Carbon Footprint, PCBs, FFCs, and Science-Based Targets
- Collaborate with teams across the business to collect, validate and present data
- Help develop new tools and maintain reporting templates and dashboards
What We're Looking For:
- Strong data management and data cleansing experience (essential)
- Excellent Excel and spreadsheet modelling skills
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems (advantageous)
- General awareness of environmental issues and reporting standards (IEMA Associate or willing to work towards this)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant qualification at Level 4 or higher
