Job Advertisement: Head of Oracle System Support & Development working within the Civil Nuclear Constabulary

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: £53,946 - £63,509 plus a £2,000 South East Allowance (South-East England based Staff only) and generous benefits package
Working Pattern: Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working with a 60% office/40% home split)

Our client is seeking a Head of Oracle System Support & Development to join their Governance & Enabling Services department. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact while collaborating with business and operational teams to deliver exceptional BPSS Systems solutions.

**Please not this role will be subject to High Level Police Vetting, you must a been residing in the UK continually for a minimum of 5 years**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure BPSS supported systems align with business needs.
  • Service Management: Oversee the delivery of BPSS support services, maintaining agreed internal SLAs.
  • Issue Resolution: Facilitate effective communication to resolve issues with suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Vendor Management: Ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs while managing vendor support services.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop your team to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Security Compliance: Uphold security practices and standards to protect sensitive information.
  • Training Oversight: Implement training strategies to enhance application knowledge within the team.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing vendors, partners, and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement service delivery models for ERP transformation.
  • Expertise in Oracle Fusion, HCM, and related modules.
  • A background in the public sector, preferably within policing, is highly desirable.

There will be occasional travel to other sites. A driving license is essential for this position in order to access these. Travel and accommodation will be paid for by the CNC.
