Hourly Rate: £24.72 per hour

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced IS Project Manager looking to take on a dynamic role in the Information Technology sector? Our client, a prominent organisation, is seeking a talented individual to oversee the successful implementation of various IS projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As an IS Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Implementation: Ensuring the successful execution of IS projects in accordance with agreed specifications, costs, and schedules.
  • Business Requirements: Confirming project requirements and proposed solutions with system owners to ensure viability and efficiency before project initiation.
  • Resource Estimation: Identifying necessary tasks, estimating budgets, and securing resources to implement projects effectively.
  • Implementation Planning: Producing and agreeing on implementation plans in collaboration with system owners, suppliers, and relevant ICT sections.
  • Team Coordination: Supervising and coordinating the efforts of IT staff, business unit staff, and external suppliers to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly meeting with potential users and project stakeholders to report on progress and ensure evolving project needs are met.
  • Risk Management: Reporting progress, highlighting issues, and managing risks to the ICT Projects manager.
  • Testing and Acceptance: Planning and managing the testing and acceptance phases of new systems, ensuring compliance with agreed specifications.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Being accountable for all Health and Safety issues related to the projects under your responsibility.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Training in ICT project management.
  • Previous experience in implementing IT systems within large, complex organisations.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and proven use of these methodologies on multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with users and stakeholders.
  • Excellent management abilities to motivate and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail for monitoring project status and outcomes.
