Our client, a forward-thinking organisation in the not-for-profit sector, is seeking an enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, security, and optimal performance of technology services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and optimising both on-premise and cloud infrastructure, particularly in Azure.
• Ensuring high availability and performance of core technology services, including LAN, WAN, network devices, end-user hardware, databases, and storage systems.
• Configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting switches, firewalls, and routing equipment.
• Implementing network security best practises while maintaining compliance with organisational standards.
• Managing Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Supporting the migration and integration of workloads into cloud environments.
• Conducting user administration and access management to control users' access on Desktop Services and Core Business Applications.

Ideal Candidate:

To excel in this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven knowledge in server, data storage, network, and security services and technologies.
• Strong experience managing on-premise servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, and network security.
• Ability to utilise monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Added Extras:

While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:

• ITIL Version 4 Foundation Certificate.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practises for infrastructure and network.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or Python for automation and configuration management.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
