A leading consultancy organisation is currently seeking a skilled and motivated M365 Exchange Engineer to join a growing End User Services team. The successful Exchange SME will support a range of high-profile clients, working across messaging and collaboration systems with a strong focus on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem-including Exchange Server (on-prem and online), Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Purview Information Protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for M365 services, including Exchange Server (on-prem and online), Microsoft Teams, and ideally Microsoft Purview Information Protection.
• Collaborate with internal support teams to resolve technical issues related to M365, identity, security, and endpoints.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing practices.
• Review, manage, and deploy updates and patches for Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Handle vendor support cases, particularly with Microsoft, escalating and resolving complex issues as needed.

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud services and the M365 suite, especially Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with on-premises Exchange Server and hybrid Exchange Online environments.
• Hands-on involvement in M365 migrations or deployments.
• Proven background in 3rd line support for Exchange, M365, and endpoint technologies.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, ADFS, Azure Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Entra ID Sync.
• Experience with third-party SMTP gateway technologies (e.g., Mail Marshal) is advantageous.
