Mobile Core Design Specialist - Contract - 6 months - London - Inside IR35

My client, a leading global telecoms company is looking for an experienced Mobile Core/ Packet Core Design Specialist to support a major programme within their core network team. This is a hybrid London-based role requiring strong 4G/5G core expertise.

Key Skills

• Deep understanding of 3GPP 4G & 5G SA Packet Core standards
• Strong knowledge of core architecture, protocols & integration
• Experience with 4G interfaces (S1-MME/S1-U, S4, S6a, S5/S8, SGi)
• Experience with 5G SA interfaces (N2/N3/N4/N6, SBA)
• Understanding of NFVI, VNFs/CNFs; Kubernetes desirable
• Solid IP networking background
• Strong troubleshooting and config management skills

Role Overview

• Contribute to HLDs/LLDs for MME, GW-C/U, AMF, xkybehq SMF, UPF
• Support integration with wider network architecture
• Provide troubleshooting across multi-vendor Packet Core
• Assist with test support and configuration management
