Location: London, 2-3 days per week on site required
Duration: 6-month contract
Rate: £500.00 - £540.00 per day via umbrella
Are you passionate about technology and driven by the challenge of improving visibility, efficiency, and reliability across complex systems?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established technology function dedicated to driving infrastructure automation and "automation from code."
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of building and optimising monitoring solutions that give real-time insight into system performance, enabling teams to act quickly, make informed decisions, and deliver seamless services. You'll work closely with a range of technical teams, using your expertise to design, build, and maintain an intelligent monitoring environment that underpins operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring environments to provide actionable operational insights
- Work across technical teams to understand systems and processes, integrating monitoring tools that enhance visibility and service reliability
- Automate and optimise monitoring processes, supporting the shift towards infrastructure-as-code
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and reports to support proactive issue management and performance tracking
- Support upcoming tool integrations, including next-generation monitoring technologies
What You'll Bring
- Strong hands-on experience in IT administration and infrastructure monitoring
- Proven background in designing and managing monitoring environments
- Expertise with tools such as LogicMonitor and SolarWinds (highly desirable)
- Scripting proficiency with PowerShell, Perl, or Bash
- Experience working with APIs and automation workflows
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of change management, cutovers, and security documentation
- Previous exposure to regulated industries (finance preferred)
