About the Role
We are supporting a major transformation programme and seeking two PLM Consultants to act as Use Case Leads, helping shape and deliver new PLM capabilities across a large, engineering‐driven organisation.
These roles are business-facing rather than technical, providing structure, clarity, and leadership across PLM capability areas. You will act as the business proxy, coordinating SMEs, gathering detailed requirements, shaping backlogs, and ensuring that delivered PLM functionality aligns with the business’ operational needs.
This is an opportunity to be involved in a long-running PLM evolution programme focused on engineering, operations, quality, and product‐related data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering across PLM capability domains such as Documents, Requirements, PDP, Classification, MBSE, or similar
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements
- Own and refine use‐case backlogs, ensuring clarity and alignment with programme priorities
- Facilitate discussions with cross‐functional SMEs, solution architects, and business stakeholders
- Identify process gaps, challenge current ways of working, and support standardisation
- Participate in design reviews, dependency assessments, and alignment sessions
- Support validation, UAT activities, readiness, and sandbox testing
- Contribute to business adoption efforts including workshops, show & tells, and training inputs
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of PLM business processes (engineering PLM exposure is beneficial but not essential)
- Ability to act as a functional consultant or business proxy in transformation environments
- Familiarity with organisational change concepts (OCM awareness is welcomed)
- Experience translating complex technical or engineering concepts into clear business language
- Strong communication, coordination, and workshop facilitation skills
- Comfortable operating independently, organising stakeholders, and driving clarity
- Prior exposure to Jira, Confluence, Agile delivery, or digital thread concepts is helpful
What This Role Offers
- Long-running programme involvement
- A high degree of autonomy and influence
- Work across engineering, quality, operations, and programme functions
- The ability to help shape future PLM ways of working
- Mostly remote setup with occasional on-site engagement
