Our client, Merseyside Police are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Resource Planning Assistant to join their dynamic Force Resource Unit. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Resource Planning Assistant, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient administration of the Resource Management System. The position involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Assisting the Resource Planning Supervisor in determining resource strengths to meet customer requirements.
- Providing administrative support for operations in the absence of the Resource Planning Supervisor.
- Maintaining an up-to-date demand profile to ensure effective personnel allocation, including managing restricted and recuperative duties.
- Administering Force rotas to maintain fairness and equity, while effectively communicating details to all relevant individuals and Command Teams.
- Monitoring staff working hours to ensure compliance with Force policy and Working Time Regulations 1998.
- Conducting tasks related to the administration of the Duty Management System (DMS), including staff movements and flexible working agreements.
Ideal Candidate:
The perfect candidate will possess the following:
- A strong understanding of resource allocation and work scheduling issues, along with relevant knowledge of Personnel Policies, Police Regulations, and Health and Safety Legislation.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly in Windows, MS Office applications, and resource management systems.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and advocate for the needs of both individuals and the organisation.
- A self-motivated attitude with the capability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively.
