What You'll Do:

As a SQL BI Developer, you will be at the forefront of developing and operating Business Intelligence systems. Your role will be pivotal in producing high-quality internal and external activity information, including statutory returns. Here's what you can expect:

  • Lead the Development: Spearhead the creation of the data warehouse reporting solution, focusing on data architecture and processing from diverse clinical and operational data sources.
  • Enhance Analysis: Utilize data from the organisations data warehouse and other sources to generate insights that drive better management decisions.
  • Ensure Quality Standards: Be accountable for delivering internal and external activity information that meets stringent quality and governance requirements.
  • Support Your Team: Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues within the Information and Performance department, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should bring with you:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years in delivering BI and clinical systems solutions, particularly using Microsoft technology (MS-SQL 2012 components including SSIS, T-SQL, SSAS, SSRS), and familiarity with clinical systems like RiO and SystmOne.
  • Project Management Skills: Extensive experience managing complex information management development projects, with a track record of producing full life cycle documentation.
  • Technical Prowess: Proficient in automated integration of disparate data sources and delivering comprehensive reporting solutions.
  • NHS Knowledge: Familiarity with information management practices within the NHS is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on large cross-functional projects, producing technical specifications and engaging with stakeholders effectively.
