Senior Business Analyst - Infrastructure & Cloud Transformation

Contract until 18th December 2026 £500-£550 per day via LTD Company Crewe - 2-3 days per week onsite

I'm currently partnering with a leading organisation undertaking significant technology transformation programmes and am looking to engage an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in infrastructure, cloud and enterprise IT change.

This role is ideal for a BA who thrives in complex environments, can challenge stakeholders constructively, and has a proven track record of delivering analysis across large-scale IT initiatives where cloud platforms, infrastructure services, integrations and enterprise systems are key components.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering business-critical technology initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor across the full project lifecycle. Working closely with senior stakeholders, architects, technical teams and third-party suppliers, you'll ensure that business requirements are clearly defined, solution options are properly assessed, and outcomes deliver measurable value.

A key focus of this position will be supporting programmes involving:

• Cloud transformation and migration initiatives
• Infrastructure modernisation projects
• Enterprise application and systems integration
• Legacy technology replacement and modernisation
• Digital transformation and organisational change
• Multi-system technology programmes

The successful candidate will be confident translating technical complexity into clear business outcomes and helping stakeholders understand the impact of technology decisions across processes, people and systems.

• Lead end-to-end business analysis across complex technology change initiatives
• Elicit, document and manage business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, architecture and delivery teams to ensure business needs are effectively translated into solutions
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities across all levels of the organisation
• Conduct impact assessments and support business case development
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout delivery
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile best practices
• Validate solution designs against business objectives
• Manage and influence senior stakeholders, providing clear, outcome-focused updates
• Support delivery governance, quality assurance and benefits realisation activities

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within complex IT change environments
• Proven background delivering infrastructure, cloud or enterprise technology transformation programmes
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure services, integrations and enterprise systems landscapes
• Experience working across large-scale digital transformation initiatives
• Strong requirements engineering, process modelling and solution evaluation capabilities
• Experience defining both functional and non-functional requirements including security, resilience, scalability, performance and operational readiness
• Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities
• Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
• Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience engaging with third-party suppliers, systems integrators and delivery partners
• BCS or IIBA Business Analysis qualification (above Foundation level preferred)

• Experience within manufacturing, automotive or other complex operational environments
• Experience supporting cloud migration, infrastructure refresh or technology modernisation programmes
• Strong data analysis and data-driven decision-making skills
• Change impact assessment and business readiness experience
• Exposure to AI-assisted analysis and documentation tools

We're looking for a Business Analyst who goes beyond traditional requirements gathering and can genuinely influence outcomes. You'll be comfortable challenging assumptions, driving stakeholder alignment and ensuring that technology investments deliver meaningful business value.
