Daily Rate: £650 per day
Contract Length: October 2027
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm 37 hours per week, Hybrid

About Our Client:

Key Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Hyper-V Cluster Design and Implementation:
- Establish a resilient, two-site Microsoft Hyper-V cluster to replace existing infrastructure.
- Validate cluster performance and ensure high availability.
- Prepare detailed solution design documentation.
Evaluation and Migration of Existing Systems:
- Assess and migrate approximately 40 devices (20 physical and 20 virtual) to the new platform.
- Ensure compliance with local governance standards during upgrades and patches.
- Engage in migration testing and service validation.
Monitoring Platform Infrastructure:
- Provision new virtual servers for network monitoring applications.
- Apply security hardening and patching in line with best practises.
- Validate platform readiness alongside local ICT resources.
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Design and Deployment:
- Design and implement a Microsoft-based Certificate Authority and PKI solution.
- Conduct integration with Active Directory and network vendor equipment.
- Provide comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer to ICT resources.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
- Extensive experience in implementing Microsoft Hyper-V clusters and server migrations.
- Strong knowledge of PKI solutions and network security practises.
- Proven ability to produce detailed technical documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Active National Security vetting (DV) and the capability to undergo additional Police Vetting (NPPV3).
