Our client, a prominent organisation in the public services sector, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (BSIT) to join their dynamic Business Systems Improvement Team (BSIT). This exciting temporary role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting system users and enhancing the organisation's operational systems.

Role Overview:
As the Subject Matter Expert (BSIT), the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day business support, including identifying and resolving system errors and responding to user queries.
  • Scoping user requirements for business improvements and developments.
  • Developing solutions and system changes to meet business needs.
  • Collaborating with third-party suppliers to drive solutions and improvements.
  • Conducting complex testing of system upgrades and developments.
  • Offering specialist advice and guidance to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Facilitating user groups and prioritising requirements through effective engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key advisor on the usage and development of Niche and Pronto systems.
  • Undertake technical configuration of systems in agreement with ICT.
  • Maintain and improve systems to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Document and analyse feedback, ensuring user needs are met efficiently.

Essential Criteria:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Extensive operational and technical knowledge of Niche and Pronto systems or similar operational systems.
  • Operational knowledge of business areas impacted by RMS, such as Crime, Intelligence, Safeguarding, and Custody.
  • Strong negotiating skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to draught detailed reports and work collaboratively within teams.
