UX Engineer - 5 Month Contract

Rate: Market rates, outside IR35

Contract Length: 5 months

Location: Manchester, hybrid

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and front-end engineers to implement high-quality, accessible user experiences across digital products
Build interactive, reusable UI components using React and TypeScript, following best practices for scalability and performance
Translate Figma designs and UX specifications into production-ready code with pixel-perfect precision
Troubleshoot UI issues, improve performance, and ensure a smooth, intuitive user experience across platforms

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a UX Engineer or similar role bridging design and development
Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Experience integrating with design systems and tools such as Figma
Familiarity with modern development tools including Git, CI/CD workflows, and testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Testing Library)
Comfortable working in agile environments with cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and ability to bring design concepts to life through clean, maintainable code
