We’re looking for a Sales Director – IT Solutions to join a fast-growing technology company specialising in custom software development, cloud solutions, data engineering, and managed services.
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role for a self-motivated sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at building long-term client relationships across the UK and Europe.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute a go-to-market sales strategy across the UK and Europe in sectors such as BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Logistics, and Technology.
- Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and forums.
- Provide strategic insights on market trends, client needs, and competitive intelligence.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management
- Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities with mid-sized and large enterprises.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline to drive predictable revenue growth.
- Leverage existing C-level relationships and cultivate new executive connections.
Sales Execution & Deal Closure
- Manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle, including prospecting, solutioning, proposal development, pricing, and negotiation.
- Close complex multi-service IT deals, typically mid-six to seven-figure in value.
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client business objectives.
Collaboration & Delivery Support
- Work closely with pre-sales, solution architecture, and delivery teams to design client-centric solutions.
- Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams post-sale to maintain satisfaction and long-term relationships.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor junior sales or business development staff as the UK and EU sales team grows.
- Contribute to best practices and process improvements within the sales team.
Performance & Results
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets aligned with company growth objectives.
- 15+ years’ experience in B2B IT services sales, including 7+ years in a new business/hunter role.
- Proven success in winning new logos and closing complex IT deals (software, cloud, data).
- Strong network in UK enterprise and mid-market sectors.
- Deep understanding of onshore/offshore delivery models.
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience collaborating with global delivery and pre-sales teams.
- Degree in Business, Technology, or Engineering (MBA desirable).
- Valid UK work authorisation and willingness to travel across the UK and Europe.
Package: £80,000 – £100,000 base + uncapped commission
