IT Director -Manchester
Our client, a UK-based group, is seeking an IT Director to lead end-to-end IT operations, technology strategy, and digital transformation across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
This is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for delivering secure, reliable IT services while driving technology modernisation across infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity, and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities- Own the group-wide IT strategy, governance, and technology roadmap
- Lead IT service delivery across service desk, field support, infrastructure, and business systems
- Drive the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Own and enhance the organisation’s management system
- Strengthen cybersecurity, data protection, compliance, and risk management
- Embed AI technologies (including AI agents) safely and pragmatically to improve business outcomes
- Manage IT budgets, suppliers, contracts, and technology investments to deliver value for money
- Lead, develop, and inspire a multi-disciplinary IT team
- Senior leadership experience with responsibility for IT across multi-site organisations
- Strong service delivery expertise and ITIL-aligned operational management
- Proven cybersecurity leadership within regulated or sensitive environments
- Successful delivery of major IT systems, platforms, or transformation programmes
- Experience managing budgets, third-party suppliers, and technical teams
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud technologies, and modern workplace security
- Experience within healthcare or another regulated environment is desirable
