Senior Software Engineer | AI-Native Accounting Platform | London

What We Offer

1. Up to £150k base salary
2. 0.3% to 0.6% equity for a meaningful upside
3. Direct reporting line to the Principal Engineer with the CEO exposure

What We Are Looking For

1. 8-15 years in full stack software engineering experience in fast scaling start-up or product category leaders like Revolut
2. Solid understanding of platform architecture, data infrastructure, security, and compliance environments
3. Experience with data-driven and non-deterministic systems and a strong high-velocity product delivery mindset
4. Experience with building AI-agent driven workflows at scale.

London-based, working from our Victoria office, visa sponsorship if required

What You Will Do

1. AI/ML Engineering & Data-Driven Development: Lead the design and implementation of the core AI-native platform architecture using Python (FastAPI/Django) and AWS/Cloud services (Lambda, SQS, EKS). Treat dataset curation, benchmarking, and experiment design as first-class engineering problems, integrating model evaluation and manage non-deterministic systems.
2. High-Velocity Product Delivery: Drive a strong product-driven mindset, prioritising rapid iteration, tight feedback loops, and measurable outcomes. Work directly with Product Managers and Data Scientists to define the technical roadmap, align engineering delivery with market needs, and maximise key business metrics.
3. Deployment & Production Excellence: Translate complex AI prototypes into reliable, secure, and highly-available production services within a microservices architecture. Own the management of deployment and real-time inference.
4. Platform Reliability and Security: Establish and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs), manage comprehensive observability (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog), and ensure platform compliance with professional sector regulations (e.g., ISO guidelines) as the platform scales to millions of transactions.
5. Engineering Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and test-driven development (TDD).
