ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of Transition Manager on a 12-month contract basis.

The Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management and delivery of two critical initiatives:

  1. Managing the transition of service management operations from an incumbent supplier to a new service provider, ensuring minimal disruption to business continuity and critical infrastructure operations.
  2. Driving Service Management Maturity Improvement, embedding best practices and aligning service delivery with the organisation s strategic goals, operational excellence, and ITIL best practices.

This role requires strong project leadership, effective coordination across stakeholders, and rigorous risk management to ensure that the transition is completed successfully and the organisation achieves measurable improvements in its service management capabilities. The Transition Manager will be responsible for detailed planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that both initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with the organisation s governance frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the Service Management Transition and Service Maturity Improvement program, ensuring clear scope definition, delivery planning, and execution.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed Transition Management Plan covering governance, scope, schedules, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that all activities are delivered according to the organisation s governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Establish project milestones, track progress, and ensure the transition aligns with strategic priorities, minimising disruption to essential services.
  • Oversee the smooth transfer of responsibilities, systems, and processes from the incumbent supplier to the new provider.
  • Develop and manage the service cutover plan, ensuring business continuity and operational readiness.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and documentation handover from outgoing suppliers to internal teams and the new provider.
  • Coordinate closely with service providers to meet all contractual obligations, including the achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
