Software Engineer

Now is an exciting time to join a leading manufacturer of innovative test instrumentation in Hampshire, as a Software Engineer.

Joining the Engineering Team, your main duties will be writing code to develop the Windows applications software, including control and data acquisition for the next generation products.

Writing software for new products, you will ensure your NPD projects are delivered on-time and to budget.

You will contribute towards system and architecture design decisions.

As a key member of the Engineering Team, you will assist with backlog prioritisations, task planning, development objectives and contribute to commercial decisions.

You will create and maintain project documentation to a high standard and provide training materials as required for internal and external use.

Working closely with the marketing, sales, and production teams you will provide support on software related and technical matters on existing products.

You should ensure that all products meet essential regulatory requirement for the territories they are sold to (e.g. CE marking).

Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual who is educated to Degree level (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Experience in Object Orientated programming in C++ and/or C#; and the use of Microsoft Visual Studio; and developing Windows GUI applications are required.

You should also have an understanding of modern software design models (for example MVVM) and multi-threaded applications running under Windows OS.

An ability to troubleshoot and fix software bugs electro-mechanical systems.
