The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the UK’s independent regulator of advertising across all media. Playing an important role in regulating the advertising that we see all around us on a day-to-day basis, our purpose is to make advertisements responsible, and our ambition is to make every UK ad a responsible ad.

In late 2023, we finalised our new five-year strategy, ‘AI-Assisted Collective Ad Regulation’ which set out our strategic decisions in areas including operational transformation, the Planet, and collective ad regulation. We also committed to putting people, especially the vulnerable, first, and to making sure we have the best people working with us.

We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Systems Manager who will take ownership of the next phase of the ASA’s digital transformation, working directly with the Senior Management Team. You will advance our cloud migration plans while delivering an IT function that enables an agile and effective working environment. You will also support the Data Science team, particularly its work using AI to regulate online advertising through the ASA’s Active Ad Monitoring System.

Our successful candidate will have excellent people management and communication skills and be able to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders. You will have the ability to drive continuous improvement whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience in an innovative and mission driven environment, where collaboration, respect and work-life balance are valued.

The ASA is committed to being a diverse and inclusive organisation and we welcome applications from all sections of the community. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, disability, gender reassignment, gender identity or expression, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic and national origin), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

We operate a hybrid working model and attendance at our office in Shoreditch is required for a minimum of 40% of your monthly contracted hours.

If you have the skills and ambition to successfully lead the ongoing transformation of our IT infrastructure whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience, we very much look forward to hearing from you.

How to apply: If you are interested in applying for this role, please review the job description below and complete the online questions outlining how you meet the requirements of the role and how you can contribute to the success of the Systems Team. Please ensure that you provide all the information required on the online form as we do not accept CV's or attachments and cannot edit applications.

Please do not enter your name in any of the fields unless asked to do so. This is to help our managers to shortlist applications without knowing your name, gender, ethnicity or nationality. Thank you for your co-operation.

Please note we do not have a sponsorship licence and are unable to sponsor visas.
