Founding Product Designer
The Mission
We're rebuilding the back office of UK financial advice around one AI interface. Atlas started by killing the paperwork that buries advisers — suitability reports, annual reviews, fact-finds. Now it's becoming the place the whole job happens: a self-serve template builder, automated workflows, and proactive chats that reach the adviser before they even ask. One chat-led product. Thousands of advisers daily. The goal is every adviser in the country.
The hard truth
The product is valuable. The people who reach that value don't go back. But most still don't adopt it — they open a chat box, don't understand what they're holding, and fall back to the old way.
Closing that gap — turning a sceptical first-time user into someone who runs their day through Atlas — is the highest-leverage problem in the company. Right now no one owns it. You would.
What you'll own
One number: Atlas adoption.
- The first-run experience — kill the blank-box problem and design the first win that makes it click.
- Discoverability — make capability obvious without a manual.
- Trust — regulated professionals won't act on AI they don't trust; design the cues that earn it while the rigour stays under the hood.
- The whole loop — define what "activated" means, instrument it, ship, measure, decide. End to end, no hand-offs.
How we work
Fast. You'll prototype in a day what most teams debate for a month, work directly with the founders, and sit in calls with real paraplanners. We use AI to design AI — explore in an LLM, prototype in Claude or Cursor, polish in Figma. No thick process to hide behind, no backlog to babysit — a hard problem, a small team, and a number that has to move. This will be the hardest design work you've done. That's the point.
Who we're looking for
We care about evidence of exceptional ability, not your CV. The bar is high and we won't lower it.
You've shipped products people couldn't put down and can prove you moved a real metric — what you changed, and how you knew. You make complex things feel simple, argue product strategy with anyone (founders included), write sharp copy, and fix being wrong the same day. Regulated-industry, growth, or onboarding experience is a strong plus, not a requirement.
How to apply
Show us one thing you built that people couldn't stop using, and how you measured it.
If this sounds like too much, it probably is. If it sounds like the only kind of work worth doing — apply.

Strong comp and real equity, because the work is hard. But if comp is the reason you'd join, this isn't the place.
