Looking to shape enterprise technology at a global scale?
This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class FMCG organisation with an iconic brand portfolio and a truly international footprint, operating at the intersection of Trade, Sales and Finance technology.
As part of a global Centre of Expertise (COE), this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future application landscape across the UK and wider group — influencing how commercial capabilities are enabled through scalable, future-ready architecture.
This is not a delivery-only role.
This is a strategic architecture position where you'll define standards, influence roadmaps and provide technical leadership across complex, multi-application environments.
The Role
As COE Trade Architect, you'll take ownership of the application and infrastructure architecture for defined business capability areas, ensuring technology solutions align with enterprise standards while supporting evolving commercial needs.
You'll act as a trusted technical authority, working closely with business stakeholders, development teams and external partners to ensure solutions are robust, integrated and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining application and infrastructure architecture aligned with enterprise principles
- Shaping the future application landscape through optimisation and strategic improvement initiatives
- Providing technical leadership to delivery teams, including design governance and code reviews
- Translating business requirements into scalable, future-proof technology solutions
- Supporting lifecycle management across enhancements, integrations, upgrades and system retirements
- Ensuring solutions comply with architectural standards and support commercial objectives
- Collaborating with global vendors and partners, contributing to supplier evaluation and delivery quality
- Acting as a subject matter expert across Trade, Sales and Finance technology domains
About You
This role will suit an experienced architect or senior technologist who enjoys working at the intersection of business strategy and enterprise systems, and who is comfortable influencing decisions in a complex, multinational environment.
You'll bring both technical depth and commercial awareness, enabling you to design solutions that genuinely support business outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Strong experience in IT project environments with exposure to planning and forecasting solutions
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP CRM / TPM / TM / TMA landscapes
- Experience operating across complex, multi-application ecosystems, ideally within FMCG or similar sectors
- Excellent analytical capability, with strong proficiency in Excel
- Confident communication skills and experience working with global stakeholders
- A collaborative, adaptable mindset with a strong understanding of commercial processes
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an opportunity to influence technology strategy within a globally recognised FMCG business, working on systems that directly support commercial performance at scale.
You'll operate within a mature COE environment, gain exposure to enterprise-wide decision making, and play a key role in shaping how Trade and Sales capabilities evolve over the coming years.
For architects looking to move beyond local delivery and into true enterprise influence, this role offers long-term career growth and international exposure.
