Casework Team Leader- Money Management Service

Job summary

The Casework Team Leader will lead and guide a team of caseworkers to enable them to provide a high quality appointeeship service to their clients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a key role within Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire management team and be expected to contribute to the implementation of strategy and cross-boundary service development across the charity.

Job description

Job responsibilities

1. To supervise, lead and develop a team of caseworkers. Identify relevant training and development requirements for caseworkers to enable quality assurance.

2. To work closely with the services manager to implement clear processes within the service.

3. To work proactively with all functions and team members within the money management service to ensure our clients receive a high quality service.

4. To develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders of the service including local authority and statutory orgainisations.

5. To ensure appropriate record keeping and data management for effective reporting internally and externally.

6. To support the service manager in the preparation, and management of, the budgets for the teams in accordance with AUKC&W Financial Procedures Manual.

7. To support the leadership team in the development and implementation of strategy.

8. To ensure all team members are aware of and work within the health and safety policies and procedures for all services.

9. To support the service manager with the implementation and monitoring of relevant policies and procedures for the staff and service users.

10. To support the service manager to develop and implement plans and initiatives for the services that will lead to future improvements, including new and enhanced income streams.

11. Ensure that all personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR policy and procedure.

12. To identify service improvements from customer feedback and other relevant evidence and recommend these through the line management structure.

13. To represent Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire at appropriate meetings as requested.

14. To adhere to all AUK&W policies with particular reference to staffing, health & safety, safeguarding and equality.

15. To portray a positive image of the orgnisation both internally and externally, and set high standards of personal integrity and professionalism, leading by example.

16. To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required, consistent with the nature and grade of the post

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Good general education typically including Maths and English GCSE at grades A/B or equivalent
Desirable
  • Education to A level standard or equivalent
  • Management qualification

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of successfully leading and developing a staff team
  • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable
  • Experience of Appointeeship Services
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults

Skills and Abilities

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
