About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Bid Manager who combines strategic thinking with a strong delivery focus. You will lead and deliver public and private sector bids, shaping bid strategy, drafting and elevating the overall quality of every submission.

You will work across multiple opportunities, collaborating with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to produce compelling, high-impact bids and proposals. A key focus will be on public sector opportunities, where you will help position Agile for continued success across frameworks and strategic programmes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile’s bid management function reporting into Director for Public Sector.
  • Support wider presales activities, contributing to early-stage opportunity shaping, solution positioning, and client engagement.

  • Develop clear bid strategies aligned to client needs and business objectives.
  • Shape and write high-quality, persuasive proposal content, particularly for critical and complex sections.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, timely submissions.
  • Translate complex technical and commercial inputs into clear, client-focused messaging.
  • Manage multiple concurrent bids, ensuring deadlines, governance, and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure submissions are compliant, competitive, and clearly differentiated.
  • Analyse bid outcomes and continuously improve win rates and bid quality.
  • Evolve the bid function, including processes, tools, templates, and the adoption of AI-driven solutions, to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.

  • Winning strategic and high-value bids.
  • Improving bid win rates and overall conversion performance.
  • Consistently delivering high-quality, well-structured, and compelling proposals.
  • Strengthening Agile’s position across public sector frameworks and opportunities.
  • Raising the standard of bid capability across the business.

About You

  • Proven track record of securing complex, high-value bids.
  • Strong experience in both writing and managing bids, with the ability to produce high-quality content under pressure in short turnaround time.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement processes and evaluation criteria.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management capability.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of what drives winning bids.
