Programme Planner
AgileSource are seeking an experienced Programme Planner ideally with a strong background in Rail Infrastructure to support a complex, high-profile transformation programme. The role will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and assuring integrated programme plans, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and delivery partners.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving planning excellence, supporting governance, and enabling informed decision-making across the programme lifecycle.
Contract - 9 Months - Inside IR35 £450 - P/D - 3 Days P/W On-site - London
You Will:
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across multiple workstreams and suppliers.
- Ensure alignment between project-level plans and overarching programme milestones.
- Establish and enforce planning standards, controls, and best practices
- Apply knowledge of rail project lifecycles (GRIP / PACE or equivalent frameworks).
- Support planning across key phases including design, consents, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure plans reflect rail-specific dependencies such as possessions, access constraints, and safety requirements.
- Identifying potential schedule risks and developing mitigation plans
- Communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Providing detailed reports and presentations on project status
What are we looking for:
- Strong Competence within Primavera P6
- Strong Competence within Microsoft Project (Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, including budgeting and financial analysis
- Proven experience as a project planner with expertise in cost-based project planning and earned value management.
